Who needs a blue spruce or white fir Christmas tree? Where you gonna find it in the summer on the desert? Who needs it only in December anyway? Here in Owyhee you just have to adapt. Overgrown (6 foot), out-of-control, invasive thistles happily stand in as Christmas trees in July. Happy Holidays!

Owyhee Wallerin'
It's great when your Owyhee riding partner is willing to take time out of your ride, if you just gotta stop and waller in the snow in the Owyhee mountain foothills. Particularly if you can't ever get enough of snow in a dismally dry winter.
Note the thumbs up gesture up top. And for the record, the horses both thought I was a little nuts.

Currently in Owyhee Designs stock is this charming little Idaho barbed wire piece (if barbed wire can be called "charming"). It's approximately 11 inches by 8 inches, made of gen-u-ine Owyhee barbed wire, weathered, collected, shaped, sweated over and swore at in Owyhee County, Idaho.
