Owyhee was the first county created in Idaho in 1863, during the heydays of the gold and silver rush. It’s the second largest county in Idaho, situated in the southwest, encompassing scenic mountains, desert canyons, historic Silver City, the Snake River. It’s ranching country - the Joyce Ranch was established in 1865 and still runs cattle on the ranges. It’s riding country. Saddle up your horse, bring your hat, and come experience the Owyhee wild country.
The artwork of Owyhee Designs reflect the colors and flavor of the Owyhee country. The barbed wire designs come from rusted Owyhee county barbed wire. The bracelet and necklace stones reflect the colors of the country: pink, rust, tan of the desert; magenta, plum, crimson of the rhyolite cliffs; green of the sagebrush; blue of the Snake River.

Genuine Owyhee Barbed Wire Designs

Weathered, collected, shaped, sweated over and swore at in Owyhee County, Idaho. Inspired by some of the horses here, like Kazam in the under-illustration. It's possible that Jose or Mac or Stormy or Kazam rubbed up against this barbed wire at one time, which would certainly make it extra special.
Choose your design, hang it, and make sure you don't cut or scratch yourself. It is the real rusted stuff. If you buy one with a candle, don't be silly and burn anything but the candle.
Now, the one you order might not be the exact one you see. I can't make them the exact way ever' time. Barbed wire is cantankerous stuff and has a mind of its own when you want to shape it.
Pick from the ones in the slide show; let me know if you want more than one of a particular design. Each one is individual; two of one design will never, ever, ever be the same. If you have your own design in mind, let me know and I might attempt it - but no guarantees. Like I said, barbed wire is cantankerous stuff. Large pieces are $26, including shipping. Small pieces are $16, including shipping. ***Prices are for USA sales only.***
